FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Leesburg, VA — January 30, 2018 — To better serve the next generation of informatics leaders, membership in the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) is now available complimentary to any full-time student. During the recent strategic planning retreat, the SIIM Board of Directors voted to waive the $160 annual membership fee for all full-time students.

“SO excited about this! Spread the word–includes free annual meeting registration. Come join us at #SIIM18,” tweeted SIIM Board member Tessa Cook, MD, PhD, CIIP, Assistant Professor in Department of Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Cook also created the successful National Imaging Informatics Curriculum (NIIC) for residents, which launched October 2017.

Student Membership in SIIM provides any full-time student with complimentary registration to the imaging informatics programming at SIIM’s Annual Meeting. Register now to attend SIIM 2018 to be held May 31-June 2 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, National Harbor, Maryland.

To take advantage of this great membership opportunity, join SIIM today. A letter verifying full-time student status is the only requirement. Contact Cristina Gussman with questions.
