Integrating Imaging Informatics, I3, (Into Residency) is an interactive, high-level introduction to the imaging informatics field intended for radiology residents at all levels. It is designed as a series of questions and answers presented as micro-learnings, allowing residents to learn new concepts between cases in the reading room or during the commute to or from work.
I3 lays the foundation for more advanced imaging informatics education, such as through NIIC-RAD (National Imaging Informatics Course – Radiology), the IIP Bootcamp (Imaging Informatics Professional Bootcamp), or other learning experiences at SIIM (Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine), ACR (American College of Radiology), or RSNA (Radiological Society of North America).

However, PARCA certification exams are not currently available. SIIM believes that the course subject matter is relevant to all learners wishing to advance their understanding of imaging informatics, regardless of their intention to seek certification.
