Change Healthcare, Philips, and Siemens Healthineers join forces to support education in imaging informatics best practices

Leesburg, VA — August 17, 2017 — Optimization of patient care continues to be at the forefront of medical imaging informatics. Through a joint Regional Meeting on September 7 at the New York Marriott Marquis, SIIM and NYMIIS are bringing together industry thought leaders to present on the implementation of best imaging informatics practices for optimizing patient care across service lines.

SIIM Corporate Members: Change Healthcare, Philips, and Siemens Healthineers are sponsoring this year’s SIIM-NYMIIS Regional Meeting, Co-Chaired by David Hirschorn, MD and Ann Scherzinger, PhD, CIIP. Their sponsorship will provide concentrated education on timely topics and facilitate discussion, problem-solving and camaraderie among the New York Tri-State Region medical imaging informatics community.

“At Philips, we want to collaborate with SIIM-NYMIIS and its members to understand how we can co-create innovations that seamlessly bring together people, data and technology for personalized, actionable insights,” said Calum Cunningham, Vice President and General Manager Radiology Informatics at Philips. “We are dedicated to working with imaging professionals to give them the full picture of a patient across all modalities and systems, simplifying data and insight gathering to help them achieve first time right diagnosis, lower costs, as well as increased patient and staff satisfaction.”

“Siemens Healthineers is pleased to once again be a part of the SIIM-NYMIIS Regional Meeting and the important work that members are accomplishing across imaging IT. We are excited to have our new team members from Medicalis in the Siemens Healthineers booth, and attendees are encouraged to stop by to see the latest innovations in workflow orchestration, clinical decision support, and teamplay, our cloud-based network to access and manage fleet data.” Leeann Essai, Global Product Marketing Manager, Siemens Healthineers.

This Regional Meeting will take a glimpse into the future as nationally recognized thought leaders – Keith J. Dreyer, DO, PhD, FSIIM and Eliot L. Siegel, MD, FSIIM – discuss how AI, VR & AR are transforming medical imaging informatics and leading to improve patient care. Attendees will also learn about Workflow Orchestration, Imaging Protocol Standardization and Image Exchange through lectures as well as participation in the roundtable breakout discussions.

In addition, technical exhibits will showcase the latest products and services to help attendees find the solutions to their daily challenges, and arm themselves with a better understanding of the value of imaging informatics in their practice.
