SIIM and AGFA HealthCare Join Forces in Tailoring Enterprise Imaging to a Value-Based Future

The Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine presents the 2017 SIIM Webinar Series with the support of AGFA HealthCare

Leesburg, VA — January 17, 2017 — Medical imaging informatics continues to play a crucial role in transitioning to value-based care. Through a monthly series of educational webinars, the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) is bringing industry thought leaders together to present topics focused on value-based patient care to improve healthcare delivery. Webinar presentations in early 2017 will cover the topics of acquisition workflows for mobile imaging; open source software; pathology workflows; machine intelligence; encounters-based workflows and XDS; and population health.

SIIM joins forces with corporate member and leadership partner AGFA HealthCare to provide the 3rd year of the highly successful SIIM Webinar Series. The 2017 series will aim to give the imaging IT community the opportunity to learn from each other and to share their experiences to improve the delivery of patient care throughout the digital imaging enterprise.

“The 2017 SIIM Webinar Series recognizes the importance and role of enterprise imaging in value-based care, and AGFA HealthCare is pleased to support the series.  We look forward to engaging discussions led by the many speakers who are exemplary in their ability to educate, challenge, and innovate the medical imaging and healthcare IT community to a value-based future,” says Miriam Ladin, Director of Marketing and Communications, AGFA HealthCare. “Technology is evolving to meet contemporary pressures of operational economics and care collaboration.  It is our community’s role to continually demand of ourselves interoperable innovations to close the gap between patient information and those who need to act upon that information.”

SIIM monthly live webinars are free and open to the entire imaging informatics community. All webinar participants may submit questions to expert speakers during the live Q&A, and attendees may follow and contribute through concurrent Tweet Chats @SIIM_Tweets using #imagingIT before, during, and after each webinar. SIIM Members are eligible to receive 1.0 hour SIIM IIP credit for attending “Live” webinars. After the live webinar, recordings are available to SIIM members on-demand 24/7.
