2026 SIIM Hackathon Sponsorship

The SIIM Hackathon has been a jumping off point for professionals in Imaging Informatics for over 10 years. As a free hybrid event, the hackathon invites people of all backgrounds and career levels to participate, test their own applications, and find new solutions. SIIM offers year-round access to the datasets and guides, with a live hackathon and showcase in conjunction with the SIIM26 annual meeting. 

The SIIMfund has again announced travel funding in support of the hackathon event, intended for trainees to attend the hackathon in-person at SIIM26 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, June 10-12, 2026. This scholarship will be awarded to 5 trainees who have completed the application, met all criteria, and demonstrate a passion for imaging informatics.

Scholarship Benefits

Recipients of the Hackathon Scholarship will have the opportunity to:

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Attend the SIIM26 Annual Meeting in-person and participate in the hackathon and showcase. 
  2. Must be a SIIM member in training (join for free). 
  3. Attendees are responsible for securing travel methods, registration, housing in the official SIIM room block, food & beverage, and other expenses for the SIIM26 annual meeting. 
  4. Attend the SIIMfund Silent Auction & Happy Hour (session registration included). 
  5. Complete the application form by April 16, 2026. 
  6. Share your experience in some way – blog, vlog, podcast, during a tech tools webinar, etc.

  • Applicant basic information (name, email, etc.)  
  • Agree to application criteria

  • Why do you want to attend the SIIM annual meeting? What do you hope to gain or learn by attending?   
  • What software skills of those identified are you vaguely familiar with? (Note: this is NOT a requirement) 
  • Do you have clinical/medical experience? (Note: this is NOT a requirement)
