In this episode, hosts Jason and Mohannad sit down with Greg Toffner to revisit his excellent presentation from the 2025 MIIT Conference (https://www.miit.ca/). Greg shares how the program is helping remote communities gain better access to basic imaging services through “task shifting” – training local community members to perform simple X-ray exams as Basic Radiological Technicians (BRTs). The conversation explores how this approach can improve health outcomes, reduce barriers to care, and address imaging-related health disparities in underserved communities.

This episode was recorded in conjunction with the Imaging Informatics Unplugged (https://www.youtube.com/@NagelsConsulting) podcast.
