This practice parameter is intended to provide guidance and assistance in the understanding and clinical use of digital radiography (DR) equipment (other than mammography). It includes an introduction to digital radiography, as well as covering the changing digital imaging technology landscape and its influence on workers’ roles and responsibilities. It was revised by the American College of Radiology (ACR), the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) and the Society for Pediatric Radiology (SPR).
