Career Matrix Overview

Explore Role-Based Summaries

  • Use the Summary of Knowledge by Role tab to see a role-specific view of what you need to Know and Do.
  • For advanced users, the Gen AI-Ready Summary compiles everything into a single cell—perfect for copy/pasting into generative tools like ChatGPT to compare roles or plan skill development.

How to Use the Tool

  1. Start with the Knowledge Domain Matrix
Get familiar with the key domains, subtopics, and levels of knowledge.

    • Know = what you should understand
    • Do = what you should be able to perform
⚠️ Some “Do” tasks depend on your system access or job scope.
  2. Review the Knowledge Domain-Role Map
Explore how different roles (grouped by job title) map to each domain.
  3. Check Your Role’s Knowledge Levels
For each domain, find the level assigned to your role. Higher levels build on the lower ones, so Level 3 includes all knowledge from Levels 1 and 2.
  4. Compare Roles to Guide Career Growth
See where your skills match and where to expand if you’re aiming for a different role.
