The DICOM Advanced Package is an in-depth self-paced learning program designed to elevate participants’ proficiency in the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standard. This comprehensive package comprises two specialized self-paced courses: DICOM Workflow Management and Structured Reports, and DICOM Image Quality, Networking, and Troubleshooting. Tailored to provide advanced insights into DICOM applications, workflow optimization, and troubleshooting techniques, this package equips participants with the skills necessary to excel in complex scenarios within the realm of medical imaging informatics.

By the end of this course, students will be able to: 

  • Evaluate and optimize DICOM workflow management, showcasing the ability to navigate and enhance structured reports for efficient medical imaging processes. 
  • Ensure and maintain the quality of DICOM images through advanced techniques, address networking challenges, and troubleshoot issues effectively, demonstrating practical skills in maintaining the integrity of medical imaging data. 
  • Apply advanced principles outlined in the DICOM standard to facilitate seamless communication and interoperability within the medical imaging informatics domain.
