The PACS Certification (CPSA) Package is a comprehensive and integrated self-study program that combines the expertise of two distinct course packages—PACS Certification (CPSA) IT Package and PACS Certification (CPSA) Clinical Package. Tailored to encompass a broad spectrum of knowledge, this package is designed to prepare individuals for the PARCA CPSA exam, offering a holistic approach that bridges the gap between healthcare IT and clinical expertise.

By the end of this course, students will be able to: 

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Healthcare IT Fundamentals and Healthcare IT Infrastructure, showcasing the ability to apply principles to real-world scenarios. 
  • Analyze and implement effective Healthcare IT Infrastructure solutions, ensuring seamless integration and optimization within healthcare settings. 
  • Evaluate clinical anatomy and systems, medical imaging technology, and workflow processes to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration and contribute to comprehensive healthcare solutions. 
  • Apply the principles outlined in the PACS System Associate (AS) Study Guide, Clinical Component – Electronic Version, to foster a seamless integration of clinical knowledge with healthcare IT practices. 
  • Develop comprehensive strategies for the secure and efficient management of healthcare data, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. 
  • Demonstrate practical skills in navigating and utilizing PACS systems in clinical settings, fostering efficient communication between healthcare professionals. 

Format/Class Structure

This package contains five self-paced courses, accessible completely online. You can expect to spend about 25 hours completing this course.

CE Credit

The Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine has approved this activity for 25.0 hours of SIIM IIP Credits towards certification and re-certification by the American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII).
