About the Research Committee

The Research Committee’s primary objective is to fulfill Organizational Strategy 1: Research. Specifically, this committee strives to ensure that imaging informaticists take the lead in driving discovery and innovation in the imaging informatics field.

Goals

  • Foster and support community among researchers focused on solving imaging informatics projects
  • Disseminate imaging informatics discoveries through Journal of Imaging Informatics in Medicine (JIIM), social media and other channels
  • Benchmark funding trends for imaging informatics research and develop and implement an outreach/advocacy plan to increase more informatics funding.
