ACR-NEMA: A predecessor of the DICOM Standard named for the two organizations (ACR and NEMA) that defined the standard. The ACR-NEMA standard was developed jointly by ACR (the American College of Radiology) and NEMA (the National Electrical Manufacturers Association).
