WW stands for Window Width. Window Width controls contrast is a range of grayscale values to be mapped on monitor or printer grayscale. This is primarily used if the range of available input values exceeds the range that can be mapped on media or be visualized. This is commonly used, for example, with CT images, where the original pixel data has at least 12 bits or more, which is 4096 input values.
