Herman Oosterwijk

In this episode, hosts Jason, Mohannad, and Prasanth interview Herman Oosterwijk, a giant in the field of imaging informatics. Serving as president of Otech, Herman has extensive experience implementing health care imaging and IT solutions in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and DICOM Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for more than 30 years. First delving into medical systems as an electrical engineer, his explorations have placed him in myriad roles, wearing the hat of technologist, educator, and humanitarian. His story is both an account of the evolution of imaging informatics standards, but also a master lesson in fostering resilience and lifelong learning.
