From Research to Clinical Deployment: Realizing the Potential of AI in Medical Imaging
The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into medical imaging has the potential to revolutionize healthcare, enhancing diagnostic accuracy and improving efficiency. However, moving from research to clinical deployment presents significant challenges. This keynote lecture will explore the journey of AI implementation in clinical settings, sharing valuable insights from our experience. We will discuss the critical aspects of AI model validation, a structure for understanding and managing bias, the role of education in facilitating adoption and optimizing accuracy, and the necessity for continuous validation and monitoring. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the practical steps and considerations for successfully deploying AI in medical imaging.
Objectives
Outline the components required to transition AI from research to clinical deployment
