GE Healthcare Joins SIIM in Advancing Healthcare Enterprise Image Management

The Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine to host 2015 SIIM Webinar Series through GE Healthcare educational grant.

Leesburg, VA – February 11, 2015 – Medical imaging has huge potential in the healthcare setting, and the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) is bringing industry thought leaders together to discuss this next era in imaging. Some of the growth areas include moving diagnostic imaging out of the Flintstone era of anecdotal practice of medicine into the current era of big data and big data analytics; the development of consumer and enterprise apps in healthcare; and an entrée into the era of enterprise imaging.

All three topics will be discussed during the SIIM Webinar Series of 2015 — supported through an educational grant provided by GE Healthcare.

SIIM joined forces with corporate member and partner GE Healthcare to support the new webinar series and educational goal of advancing strategy for image-enabling the healthcare enterprise.

SIIM monthly live webinars are free and open to the entire imaging informatics community. In addition to participants being able to submit questions to expert speakers during the webinar live Q&A, the webinars also include Tweet Chats so that those who tweet can follow @SIIM_Tweets and contribute to the conversation with #imagingIT before, during, and after each webinar. After the main event, SIIM webinars are archived with access to the on-demand presentations available to SIIM members via the society’s new eCommunity website.
