Audit Trail and Node Authentication (ATNA) – Radiology Option

The IHE IT Infrastructure (ITI) Technical Framework most recent version is Revision 19, June 19, 2022. Since the last update of this Terms Glossary, specialties were added to the ITI Technical Framework. The ITI Framework is an extensive document and a reference to it via the IHE Web site is advised.The Radiology Audit Trail Option is an option of the Audit Trail and Node Authentication (ATNA) profile. The ATNA Profile, part of the IT Infrastructure Technical Framework, provides security and privacy mechanisms like a common audit trail and authentication for distributed applications.

This option deals largely with the details of the Record Audit Event transaction in the IT Infrastructure Technical Framework. This option defines audit events on IHE Radiology transactions for a Secure Node. This option does not extend the Authenticate Node transaction in the ATNA profile.
