FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Leesburg, VA — March 19, 2021 — The Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine, the leading performance-based training provider for global imaging informatics professionals, today announced a new partnership with Credly to offer digital credentials to SIIM’s global learner community. Individuals who participate in select learning experiences will earn stackable and sharable digital badges, uniquely positioned to make the learner’s accomplishments portable and more visible within professional networks.

“SIIM is committed to providing accessible, affordable, and customizable education for the imaging informatics professional,” says Marc Kohli, MD, SIIM Board Chair. “We could not be more excited to partner with Credly as the next step in the Society’s digital strategy to award badges that not only showcase learner achievements but connect them globally to one another. SIIM continues to partner with new organizations, institutions, and universities, broadening the reach and diversity of imaging informatics education.”

SIIM learners can showcase their educational successes by embedding digital badges into their email signatures, on social media, and on their own Credly profile page free of charge. Every learner will carry a unique, verified record through Credly’s platform, which will showcase their own educational journey as they customize course work and attendance to fit their future career.

“We applaud SIIM’s commitment to supporting professional growth and fostering a more diverse and inclusive workforce through the Society’s new digital credential strategy,” said Jonathan Finkelstein, CEO of Credly. “As the trusted and secure currency for human capital, digital credentials connect professionals to opportunities based on their verified competencies, and have the power to improve equity, diversity, and access in every field.”
