In 2025, the Samuel J. Dwyer Lecture introduced a new framework to help imaging informaticists navigate their careers with clarity and purpose, dubbed the imaging informatics career matrix. Building on that foundation, this follow-up webinar explores how the tool has matured into a bespoke, web-based application designed to make career planning more interactive, scalable, and accessible.

Attendees will gain insight into the expanded, community-sourced knowledge embedded within the platform, including structured pathways, role-specific guidance, and resources aligned with the evolving demands of imaging informatics. The session will also highlight how large language models (LLMs) complement the tool, offering dynamic ways to surface, contextualize, and personalize career development insights.

Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of how this evolving resource can support professionals at different stages of their careers, empower organizations to attract and foster talent, and ultimately strengthen the imaging informatics community.

Objectives

  • Describe the evolution of the career navigation tool from its 2025 introduction to the current web-based application.
  • Identify the expanded, community-sourced information and pathways within the tool that support imaging informaticists at different career stages.
  • Demonstrate how large language models (LLMs) can be used to personalize and enhance career development through the tool.
