This webinar will explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in radiology to advance global health, with a focus on low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). We will discuss current AI applications, challenges of implementation in resource-limited settings, and strategies for building equitable, sustainable, and “glocal” models of AI adoption. The session will highlight how AI can improve diagnostic accuracy, streamline workflows, and support SDG and UHC goals in underserved populations.

Objectives

  • Describe the benefits of radiology AI for advancing global health and equity
  • Identify challenges and solutions for implementing AI in LMIC and resource-limited settings
  • Explore strategies such as local workforce training, education resources, and glocal models of development
  • Define criteria for selecting and deploying impactful AI projects in radiology for global health
